Belated Halloween

So I am a little behind. I don't get much done when my little pumpkin, Aubriella always wants held. I know bad habit but I go back to work in two weeks and will miss her so much.
Keeping up with the Halloween Fall tradition we went to a local pumpkin patch. We ended up going to the same place that we went to last year since we liked it so much. Last year it was warmer out and not as busy. This year we didnt do the corn maze. Also due to our weather this past summer there was a lot of GREEN pumpkins.

We ended up buying a bunch of pumpkins but never got around carving them. We may still do them just so they dont go to waste.

On Halloween I took Aubriella to my mom's house for "trick or treating". We didn't get there until after trick or treating was done. We really were just going to visit. My mom got her a couple of books instead of candy, since she can't have and doesn't need any candy. We also went down to my aunts house to show her off. Here's my little froggie

I also never did any decorating this year. Hope everyone had a safe and fun Halloween.

This Time....

This time one month ago I was in labor with my precious little pumpkin Aubriella. Below is her birth story. Sorry so long.

I got induced at 39 weeks. On Saturday October 1, 2011 I went to labor and delivery at 5am. I got checked in, registered, put in a room, and got all ready to go. I was hooked up to monitors and the IV started. At 5:30am they started the pitocin. The plan was to start at the lowest dose and up it by 2 every 20 to 30 minutes and to check my cervix every 4 hours if not sooner. When I arrived I was 1 cm dilated, and 80% effaced.

Little by little my contractions started and I dilated to 3 cm. Since I wasn’t progressing as quickly and smoothly as they had hoped, and I was to the limit on the external monitoring of the pitocin at 3pm the Dr. came in and broke my water. Along with breaking my water I had to have internal monitoring. A half an hour later my contractions became really strong and the back labor started. I couldn’t deal with the back pain so we started the epidural and the catheter.

My contractions were not regular. They varied from either being too close together and strong enough, or strong enough but to far apart. They kept monitoring this and switching the pitocin up and down for hours while I still kept dilating. By 8pm I was getting tired and moody. I kicked everyone out of the room expect my husband. I kept trying to sleep in little naps as they kept monitoring me.

At 11:30 I was given an antibiotic since my water had been broken for 8 hours. I was almost 10 centimeters at this time also. The nurse called the Dr. to let him know. He said to call him again when I was fully dilated that he wasn’t too far away. By 1 am the Dr. had came into see how things were doing. He checked me and gave the nurses the ok for me to start pushing. When I started to push I was feeling the pain again. The anesthesiologist was called back in to give me some more meds. After pushing for close to an hour and a half the doctor brought out the vacuum. He tried the vacuum and ended up using the forceps also to get Aubriella out. She was born at 3:10am weighing 6lb 8 oz, 19 inches long.

She was put on my chest for a few minutes then taken away to be cleaned up, examined, etc. David did cut her umbilical cord. He tried to keep the scissors but the nurse took them from him. I was freezing and starting to shake and was also getting sick. I had 3rd degree tares, which took the Dr. 45 minutes to sew me up.

David was amazing in the hospital taking care of me and Aubriella. I had lost a lot of blood so I wasn’t aloud out of bed without help. I was allowed to hold Aubriella but wasn’t allowed to carry her or take her out of the crib by myself. Also with the tears and hemorrhoids I had to have help in the bathroom also.

Since being home I ripped part of my incision and still have to be careful with what I do.

Falling Leaves

This past Saturday is was gorgeous outside. It wasn't to cold, fall is kicking in, and the leaves are changing colors. With being cooped up in the house all day with a newborn I wanted/needed to get out of the house for a little bit. David had to make a run out to work for something he forgot. We decided to go as a family and just take a drive. Instead of taking the main roads we ended up taking the back roads ands looking scenery and multi colored leaves. I was sure to feed Aubriella before we left since hubby works 40 minutes away. She also does very well in the car and normally sleeps the whole time.

After our drive and sight seeing David had plans in the garage. Aubriella and me decided to go hang out at my parents house. It gave me a little break since my parents enjoy holding and playing with her and don't get to see her to often. While there I decided to take a few pictures with their Halloween decorations. I also brought some leaves in the house and set up a little area in the rocking chair.

She kept "petting" the side of Caspers face.

2 week wellness appointment

I took Aubriella in for her 2 week wellness appointment. Everything looked good. Her weight is up to 6lbs 6 oz, she had dropped down to 5 lbs 15oz. Her height is 19 and a half inches, she had shrunk down to 17 due to swelling in her head from the delivery with vacuum and forceps. I love her pediatrician. She takes the time to answer all my questions and explains everything in detail. She's gentle and calming.

Last night she slept for 5 straight hours, it was heaven. I could get use to this, but know better to not hold my breath. Today my mother bought her a frog sound machine/night light. It has the sound of a heartbeat. We are trying it tonight to see if she will sleep in the bassinet next to the bed. She has been sleeping in bed with us, on my chest. It has been the only way she will sleep longer than 30 minutes. I want to nip this in the butt now. I know it isn't a good habit to have them in your bed, but sometimes you have to do what you have to do to get them to sleep and you to sleep too. Fingers crossed that it goes well, I get sleep and can be more comfy.

Bath Time

Last night my husband and I gave Aubriella her first bath in her froggy bathtub. Before all she had was sponge baths, we had to wait until her umbilical cord fell off. Since the warmest room in the house was the living room in the basement I brought the bathtub down there and set it on the floor. Worked out great giving me plenty of room and Dave could help.

I love the small frog towel I received as a gift. It works great to cover up my little one so she doesn't get a chill while giving her a bath.

She wasn't very happy about getting a bath...

Until daddy decided to let her hold his finger. Hopefully the next bath will go a little more smoothly than the first.

She's finally here. I delivered a precious little girl, Aubriella Jean on October 2, 2011 at 3:10 am after being in labor for 22 hours. She weighed 6lbs 8oz, and 19 inches long.

Life As We Know It

I'm on a kick right now of watching movies that deal with taking care of a baby. My husband and I ended up renting it the other night. Minus me falling asleep during it the first time I watched it (thats nothing new). We both loved it. This is one to add to the list of movies to add to our collection.

I will say as an emotional pregnant chic there was tears falling a couple of times. My husband laughed at certain parts that he thought were not realistic. He has a big reality coming when our little one gets here.

- I'm Loving, well really craving rootbeer floats. I don't care what kind of ice cream is in it either. Last night was some sort of cherry ice cream. (I didn't eat the cherries out of the cup)

- I'm loving a Baby Story on Directv. I know I said last time I was loving not having cable. I turned it back on the other day and dvr'd a Baby Story on TLC. I am addicted to watching it. I am getting excited and learning so much.

- I'm loving having energy to do some things around the house. Even though I am on restrictions for limited activity and no strenuous activity, I have still started getting my house more organized. I finally got all the clothes and sheets washed in the house.

Contractions - Go Away

Sundays and I have not been getting along. Yesterday was no different. You would think I over do it on Saturdays and make myself sick on Sunday, which is totally not the case. I spent most of the day resting in bed.
Sunday morning I woke up early like normal and went to my one job. We weren't to busy so I really just stood around. While at work I had quite a few contractions pretty close together. When I got home I called the doctor. He said if they continued for the next hour to go to Labor and Delivery. They did continue so David and I headed to the hospital.
We got there and got put in triage real quick like normal. It took over an hour for the nurse to come in and hook me up to the monitors. By this time my contractions had slowed down a lot. After being hooked up to the monitors for 2 hours I only had a few. The house doctor ended up coming in to check and make sure I wasn't dialated. Luckily I am not. They sent me home with directions to rest, make an appt with my doctor, and drink plenty of fluids. My new restriction is no strenuous activity.
I spent the rest of the day laying around in bed (nothing new there), and watched a few more episodes of True Blood. I did venture outside later in the evening once it cooled down while my in-laws were over working on the race car.
Here is a picture of me hooked up to the monitors at the hospital. Don't I look so excited to be there. The picture really makes me look huge, it just must be the angle. I actually lost weight again.

On Step Closer to a Nursery

Last Saturday morning my mom, husband, and I took a road trip to pick up the crib we ordered for the babies nursery. Instead of getting a crib at Walmart or Babies R Us we ended up going to a independent baby boutique about an hour away. It as actually listed in the Baby Bargain Book in the Top 20 Recommended Boutiques, so I had to check it out. (This book has been so helpful)

Berg's Baby and Teen were so nice and welcoming. They weren't pushy, were very helpful with our questions, and we had absolutely no problems.

David and I went to look at cribs when I was about three months, just to see what was out there and what we liked. We went back again with my mom around 19 weeks when we found out we were having a girl. The crib we had agreed upon is a little girly in my opinon and if we were having a boy I may have changed my mind. At that time we made a deposit and put it on lay away. They said it would be 6 to 10 weeks before it came in. They called just three week later to say it was already in. Since we put it on layaway we still had six weeks to pay it off. But they would hold it free of charge for as long as we needed them to. So last Saturday we went out there to pay the remaining balance and pick it up.

It is at my parents house for the time being until we paint and get the nursery ready. I am so excited to finally get things moving. I can't wait until the nursery to ready to have a baby living in it.
Here is what the crib will look like, in cherry. We also got the conversion kits so it can be a toddler bed, day bed, and a full size bed. This is all in hopes we will never have to buy a new bed frame just mattresses.

Rough Week

Oh the joys of being pregnant with hypermesis. After a long weekend, this week so far has been pretty rough on me. Monday I had sore legs and feet from doing to much on Sunday. Tuesday I was just lazy. Today I am back at getting sick and just sleeping all day trying to keep food and water down so I don't end back up in the hospital.
I'll post later on my weekend adventures. For now I'll leave you with a picture of my lazy house cat. He decided to climb up the sleves in the basement and lay on top of the air conditioning ducting.

Hot In Cleveland

It's been very hot in Cleveland and I don't mean the show. Hot and pregnant don't mix very well either. Due to the heat and only having a window air conditioning unit I have been spending all my time in my room. This really isn't anything to different it just sucks that if I wanted to go sit outside, which I normally do every day for a little bit, it is just to dang hott.
So how hot is hot? Today isn't as hot as yesterday but here are today's stats.

It suppose to stay hot and humid here for the next couple of days. It will be more air conditioning jumping and staying hydrated. I don't want/need to end up back in the hospital again because of the heat.

Friday- I work tonight, not so fun. Then get to come home and figure out some bills.
Saturday- Go pick up my crib. Work during the middle of the day from 2 to 6. Stop by a friends birthday party who I haven't seen in a while. Come home and get ready for Sunday.
Sunday- Work early in the morning. Come home and vacuum, take food out of the house, and get the house ready to be bombed. We have fleas and can't seem to get rid of them. We also have to bath the cats again and do the yard.

Bleeding= Hospital

Just a heads up this post is a little graphic in contest relating to my pregnancy. It may be to much for some.

Last Thursday was one of those days when my pregnancy wasn't going as well as hoped. I woke up at 4 am to get ready to go to work. I went pee like normal and looked at the toilet paper and there was blood. I started crying and flipping out but still went to work. I tried calling the dr but his phone wasn't working. I called and woke my mom up to see what I should do. I ended up calling the hospital I plan on delivering at and talking to a nurse up in Labor and Delivery. After following her instructions my husband ended up taking mem to the hospital about an hour later.
Once in the hospital my bleeding had stopped (thank god) but they still did blood work and hooked me up to the monitors. While hooked up to the monitors they determined I was having contractions, I just wasn't feeling them. They were able to get ahold of my dr and he prescribed me a shot to stop the contractions. Since my blood work and urine look normal and the bleeding stopped, and the contractions stopped with the meds they released me. I have no restrictions just to see if I feel any contractions and call the dr if I have more than 4 in an hour.
This is just one of my 9 trips to Labor and Delivery since being pregnant. Fingers Crossed I won't have any
more visits until its time to go into labor.

28 Weeks

28 weeks and 2 days. To say the least I haven't had the easiest textbook pregnancy. Things have been very hectic and chaotic in my life. Unfortunately my blog has been one of the many things that has suffered because of this. I'm back to give it a try and hopefully keep it going again.

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along Are You: 28weeks and 2 days

Size of Baby: Eggplant 13.6 to 14.8 inches and 1.5 to 2.2lbs
Total Weight Gain/Loss: 1 pound below starting weight as of last Thursday.
Maternity Clothes: Yes and No. Still wearing mostly normal shirts, they are starting to get to short now. My comfy pants and shorts still fit. I have a pair of jean pants and shorts I can wear with my belly band still. I ended up buying yoga pants that I wear most of the time. I'm not ready to actually wear maternity pants just yet.

Gender: It's a Girl

Movement: All the time. She is a fish and always swimming around in my belly.
Sleep: Besides having to get up at least 2 times a night to go pee, good.
Cravings: Nothing really.

Symptoms: I'm still dealing with nausea and vomiting. Also some lower back pain at time, and cramping. And a few contractions.
Best Moment (s) this week: This is a good thing and a bad thing. When I was in the hospital last Thursday and as soon as they hooked me up to the monitors and hearing her heartbeat. It was a relief that she was ok.

17 weeks

I am a few days late on this. I was 17 weeks on Saturday. It was a crazy hectic weekend I didn't have time to get on the computer also didn't get to take a photo.

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along Are You: 17weeks

Size of Baby: Onion 5 inches long

Total Weight Gain/Loss: I am still down 6 lbs. but haven't lost any more weight in 3 weeks but also haven't gained any more.

Maternity Clothes: Yes and No. Still wearing my normal shirts. My comfy pants and shorts still fit. I have one pair of jeans I still fit in and a pair a work pants that were big to begin with. My other pants I have been wearing the belly band with for a few weeks now. I bought some maternity shirts the other day while they were on sale.

Gender: We find out May 18, only 16 more days

Movement: Haven't felt as much movement this week.

Sleep: Been pretty good this week.

Cravings: Right now I want egg salad. Who wants to make me some.

Symptoms: Nausea, round ligament pain, breast tenderness, heart burn, and this week has started dry eyes.

Best Moment (s) this week: its been 3 weeks since Ive been n the hospital. I'm not getting sick as much but still nauseated.

Happy Belated Easter

Happy Belated Easter. Hope everyone had a great holiday. I ended up working on Sunday morning from 6 am to noon. Since we don't really do anything besides dinner, I had no problem letting the others work who had kids at home and do things. I was surprised how busy Dunkin Donuts was on Easter morning. We got a bunch of calls asking if we were open. I guess everyone wanted donuts before church.
After work I came home and took a nap, nothing new. All I seem to do is sleep still. I thought after the first trimester you were suppose to have more energy. After my nap my inlaws, niece and brother in law came over for dinner. They brought everything including the grill. We had steaks. I use to never be a steak eater before being pregnant. Since being pregnant I love steak.

16 weeks

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along Are You: 16 weeks
Size of Baby: Avoacado 4.6 inches long and 3.5 oz.
Total Weight Gain/Loss: Since being pregnant I had lost atleast 10 pounds. I have gained back about 3 of that.
Maternity Clothes: Yes and No. Still wearing my normal shirts. My comfy pants and shorts still fit. I have one pair of jeans I still fit in and a pair a work pants that were big to begin with. My other pants I have been wearing the belly band with for a few weeks now.
Gender: We find out May 18
Movement: I feel the baby move at night when I'm laying on my left side. The baby doesn't like me on my left side, most of the time.
Sleep: I have good nights and bad nights.
Cravings: This week I started craving salads. Also lemonade
Symptoms: I'm still dealing with nausea and round ligament pain. Some heart burn started today.
Best Moment (s) this week: The guys started the race car today. I was standing outside the garage so I didn't have the smell the fumes but was still there for "adult" supervision. I could feel the baby doing summer salts and flips.

Oh the fun of being pregnant. Your going to be hearing that a lot out of me. Yesterday started a new side effect of being in my second trimester, Round Ligament Pain. Oh boy it is not fun. For those of you that don't know what it is, I didn't know what it was until someone told me about it :

Round ligament pain generally refers to a brief, sharp, stabbing pain or a longer-lasting dull ache that pregnant women commonly feel in the lower abdomen or groin, starting in the second trimester.

You may feel round ligament pain as a short jabbing sensation if you suddenly change position, such as when you're getting out of bed or out of a chair or when you cough, roll over in bed, or get out of the bathtub. You may feel it as a dull ache after a particularly active day — when you've been walking a lot or doing some other physical activity.
The round ligaments surround your uterus in your pelvis. As your uterus grows during pregnancy, the ligaments stretch and thicken to accommodate and support it. These changes can occasionally cause pain on one or both sides of your abdomen.

All I wanna do is lay in bed and not move. Both sides hurt, one more than the other. My body pillow and I are becoming very good friends. Unfortunately that means that Dave gets less room in bed. I am hoping this symptom doesn't last to long, but I guess in a sense I would rather have this than the morning sickness caused by my hypermesis I am still dealing with.

You may feel the pain starting from deep inside your groin, moving upward and outward on either side to the top of your hips. The pain is internal, but if you were to trace it on your skin, it would follow the bikini line on a very high-cut bathing suit.

Guess What

I gave my husband a surprise for our 9 year dating anniversary, which was Febuary 12, 2011. I know I am a little late at posting this. Things have been crazy the past few months, and I am ready to get back into the blogging world.
Anyways. We went out to a late breakfast early lunch at IHOP. I gave him this box and this present.

We're Expecting

I had found out 3 days before when I took a test at work. I was sick at the time and taking otc meds so I ended up going to the doctor the next day to make sure the test was right and to get pills for being sick. I decided to wait and surprise him for our anniversary.

We are both so excited. We had actually stopped ttc for a little bit. I stopped charting thinking the stress of trying and my horrible work hours were possibly causing our infertility. I am a prime example of when you stop trying it happens.

Dave and I both had ants in our pants and wanted to tell everyone right then. I convienced him to wait until Valentines Day, which was only 2 days away anyways. We got both sets of parents cards that said "Happy Valentines Day Grandma and Grandpa". I also got my sister one that said "Happy Valentines Day to the World Greatest Aunt". They all both the hint and are so excited for us.

My due date is October 8, 2011. I am currently 15 weeks and 3 days. Here is my latest belly picture. I notice that I am gaining weight in the belly since my pants are not fitting very well. I have been wearing a belly band.

There has been so much that has happened this year and so much with my pregnancy I could be here for days telling you all about it. I won't scare you away with a horribly long post today, more will be to come.

Busy Bee

Its already January 5th, where is the time going. For the past two weeks have been crazy busy with Christmas festivities and New Years. Now it is all taking its toll on me and I'm sick. Just what I wanted. I still have decorations to take down and a house to clean from New Years Eve. But my butt is not getting out of bed. Time to go lay back down and fight this flu, hope everyone else is well.

Sleep

Last night I worked until 9, came home and tried to fall asleep early but that didn't happen. I have been up since 4am, had to be to work at 5. Worked at Dunkin Donuts from 5 am to noon. Then came home for a few. Had to work at Great Clips from 2 to 9. I have also been feeling under the weather all this week. I would be perfectly content with sleeping all day tomorrow but that isn't going to happen. Have to work again and a christmas party. I'm happy I only have to work both jobs on the same day 2 times a week if that.

First Annual Ornament Exchange

I decided to participate in my first blog exchange and did the First Annual Ornament Exchange Hosted by Shannon over at Webbisodes and Karen over at Karen at Home. I got matched up with Brandy over at Jumping Jack. I must admit that her blog has become one of daily reads, along with a some others that I found from doing the ornament exchange.
Brandy sent me two great ornaments that really are me. I love shoes and purses. The red sparkles really makes it pop on my tree.

Holiday Clean - Up Week 7 - Guest Room

I have to say this is the easiest room of the house to clean. My guest bedroom is barely ever used. There is not to much going on in there, but still needs to be done. We have finally stopped making it a collect all room, you never know when someone is gonna stop by and need a place to crash. The office has turned into the collect all room.
Heres the cleaning list:
- wash inside and outside of windows
- wipe down window seal and ledges
- wipe down walls
- wipe down base board heat
- wipe down base board
- wipe down tv
- dust figurines and shot glasses
- wipe down top of dressers
- change sheets
- make bed
- vacuum carpet
- rub scrub

Next week is the last week of the holiday clean-up. Then my house will be all ready for Christmas Eve gathering and the plan is to keep it clean for the New Years Eve party.

Winter Not So Wonderland

I love snow. It is so pretty and makes it brighter outside. I don't like to being to cold though and I am not one to go out there and play in it. Occasionally I do have the urge to go sledding though.
I only love it though when I don't have to be out driving it in. I use to work 10 minutes from the house, all main side roads. In June I switched jobs and have to take the highway to work. Today was my first time driving in the wonderful snowy, windy, freezing, on the high way to work. I'm not a big fan. On the highway (which is 2 lanes) was barely plowed and you were following in the tracks of the person ahead of you.

Disclaimer: this was taken while driving but just holding the camera and clicking it not looking at the camera. Was paying full attention to the crappy road.

It normally takes me like 16-20 minutes to get to work. Today it took me a little over a half an hour. I left my house early with plenty of time to spare. Here's what my work parking lot looked like. They had somewhat plowed but didn't salt anything.

I ended up only working 4 hours today (was scheduled 7). We ended up closing the shop early since we were so dead. In that 4 hours we only have 4 customers. I came home and took and nap since I am feeling a bit under the weather.

I have become obessed in this movie. In the last week I have watched it 5 times. This is my new favorite go to chic flick movie. If you haven't seen Leap Year you really should watch it.

Flying Clock

Where has time went. I can't believe there is only 14 (technically 13 shopping days) left to Christmas. I have barely even started. I don't know what I am getting people or anything. I really need to get the ball rolling. It's hard when I am not really in the mood, I'm fighting getting sick, I'm working two jobs, we don't really have the money, and I not in the spirit of Christmas presents shopping. It will get done though. I am just gonna have to kick myself in the ass and get in gear.

I am excited for Christmas though to see my neice open her presents, spend Christmas morning with just me and my husband, seeing all the lights, spending time with the family, having my parents and sister over on Christmas Eve...

Falling Trees

Today I was suppose to sleep in. Have a lazy morning until I have to go to work this afternoon. Tomorrow is gonna be crazy busy tiring long day. I have to get up at 4 am to be to my one job at 5 am until 11. Come home for 2 hours then work my other job from 2 to 9. It really is going to be a long day.
Well sleeping in didn't happen. I was woken up this morning by a big crash. I grabbed my phone and ran down the stairs to see my christmas laying down and two suspicious cats walking around it. I then called my dad to see if he could come over and help me stand it back up. He came over and helped me clean up the mess. We also tied up the tree to hopefully prevent it from being knocked over again.

Luckily only two ornaments broke. 1 shattered and I have no idea where I got it from the other one is fixable. The beads need to be restrung and ornaments placed back on, but that won't be done until this weekend.

Holiday Clean - Up Week 6- Office

Christmas is almost here and my house is just about ready for the holiday's. Decorations and tree are up. Now just to decorate the tree and finish the cleaning and shopping and I will be all ready. This week in the Holiday Clean-up is the office. My office becomes a catch all, storage place... I had recipes, mail, newspaper, magazines, etc piled up on both desks that I have in there, plus stuff all over the floor. The first part of me cleaning the office was putting stuff away, taking stuff out that wasn't suppose to be in there, and filing paperwork.Here is the other cleaning:
- clean windows inside and out
- wipe down mini blinds
- dust walls and artwork
- dust fan
- wipe down desks, and shelves
- wipe down baseboard heat
- wipe down baseboards
- wipe down light switches and power outlets
- vacuum around edges
- vacuum carpet
- wash carpets

Someones Pregnant

When you're trying to have a baby it seems like everyone else around you is pregnant or having a baby. I know it will happen when it is ment to happen. It is just stressful when it isn't happening for you. But someone in my house is pregnant and it's not me.

One of my tiger barbs looks to be pregnant. Dave noticed it last night. I am excited for baby fish.

Tree Chopping

This past weekend we continued our Christmas tradition of going to a tree farm and cutting down a real Christmas tree. Dave, his mom, our niece and I all went out on Saturday to go get one. We ended up going to the same spot we went last year. It was cold and snowy but fun.

We went knowing that our ceiling is only 8 feet so we couldn't get to big of a tree. Dave is 6'6'' so we planned on measuring up to his height. Obviously that didn't happen again this year. We ended up getting a big tree and coming home and cutting it shorter.

Black Friday Craziness

I was one of those Crazy People out there on Black Friday. David and I decided to go to Walmart since some of their sales started at 12:01. We got there at 11:30 and it was already so crazy. You could barely move in the store. If you have a cart it make it 100 times worse. We started off without a cart but ended up getting one. We went to get a shop vac, an electric skillet, and a toy laptop. We also ended up getting a picture frame set, a fur real kitty, and a bunch of movies. I couldn't pass up some of the deals. I got 1 person done on the list. We ended not getting out of there until around 3 with such long hectic unorganized lines. David had to work at 8 so we went home and went to bed. I had planned on getting up and going to Target and getting some of their doorbusters too. That didn't happen. I decided to keep sleeping.
All in all I would do Walmart again as long as I didn't have to stand outside (which we didnt) and wasn't going for the hot item or big electronics.

Thanksgivings recap

Thanksgivings was an awesome relaxing, stress and drama free day. I woke up and made pumpkin cheesecake. I was suppose to make it Wednesday night but forgot to take the cream cheese out of the fridge to soften at room temp. So I let the cheese sit out over night and make it first thing in the morning. It didn't turn out as well as expected since I didn't have enough time to let it set in the fridge before dinner at the in-laws. But no one seemed to car it got eatting up real quick. You learn from your mistakes and it was my first time making it so I will know for next time (which sounds like xmas since everyone liked it so much).
I also made two banana cream pies. One for each side of the family. They turned out well (how can you really mess them up though?)
After making the pies I ran to the local Circle K to get the newspaper with all the ads. David and I sat at the kitchen table and went through them all to see if there was anything good and worth going out on black friday for.
I dvr'd the Macy's parade since I knew I wouldn't be able to sit there and watch the whole thing. Once finished looking at the ads we went down stairs to watch it. It was nice to be able to fast forward throught the commericals and everything. I think it only took us like 45 minutes to watch a three hour parade. My favorite balloons where kermit and shrek. I also love Jessica Simpson.

Dave and I left the house around 12:40 to be to his parens for dinner around 1. We got there before most of the other family. Had a blast seeing everyone. Around 3:30 we left there and over to my cousins for my side of the families thanksgivings. Not to much went on over there. Very low key. We kinda stayed to ourselves, which is normal. We hung out there for a while then went back to my in-laws.
David wanted to watch the Encredibles since we didn't go see it at the theatre and his brother bought it. While he watched that I cuddled and went into a turkey coma and took a nice little nap. When I woke up my nephew was there. He will be a year in January I think. That was only my third time seeing him, but thats a whole nother story. I played with him until about 11:15 then we left and went black friday shopping. More on that tomorrow.

Thanksgiving Traditions

Thanksgivings, otherwise known as turkey day, is just two days away. I have so much to do before then. I work both of my jobs today. The first one from 9 to 3, the second one from 6 to 11. That doesn't give me much time to do anything else today. I won't find out my exact schedule for tomorrow (Wednesday) until I go to my second job tonight. I know I have to work my first job from 2 to 9.
We have two houses to go to on Turkey Day. My in-laws at 1, and my side of the family at 3. For both sides I have to make dessert. For my side I just have to make a banana cream pie. On the in-laws side I have to make an apple pie, pumpkin cheesecake and also a banana cream pie. I have no idea when I am going to make time to do all of this either.

Dave and I try to make Thanksgivings morning as relaxing as possible. The main tradition is sleeping in and watching the Macy's Parade. This year I bought a pack of cinnamon rolls to throw in the oven as a quick easy breakfast. I also am planning on going to the gas station to get the newspaper so we can make out plans for Black Friday shopping.

Sports Weekend

I log onto my facebook and all everyone seems to be talking about is this weekend in sports. Saturday was the Ohio State game against Iowa.

Ohio State won 20 to 17. They are now ranked 8 in the NCAA
Sunday was the Browns game

They lost 20 to 24 against the Jacksonville Jaguars
Also on Sundays was the last Sprint cup Nascar Race
A lot of people, including my husband were not very happy that Jimmy Johnson #48 won his 5 straight Sprint Cup Series

Now only if I had time to actually watch any of the sports that were taking place this weekend.

Show Us Where You Live- Laundry Room

This week over at Kelly's Korner is show us you playrooms/ bonus rooms/ laundry room. I dont have a play room yet or a bonus room so here is my laundry room.
I have to admit that laundry room is my least favorite room in my house. I don't like the set-up, the color, the floor etc. Eventually this will be one of the rooms re-done. Right now it has pink walls, a foam floor and a weird layout with a wall in a weird place.

I am big at helping others out, especially those in need. This past weekend I was going through all my news clipping coupons and do some searches online for coupons. I came across a header "Expired Coupons Help Military Families". I had to get more details. Certain military co-op operations centers accept coupons for up to six months past their printed expiration date. This sounded great to me. I clip so many coupons that I don't end up using, and I get so many that I won't use, why not put them to good use. Each month I am going to send my unused and expired coupons to a select locations.

Busy Busy

I had a fun busy weekend. But this week is going to be even more crazy. So heres the heads up if I don't post every day or my posts are short in length it is due to not having enough time. I'll tell you why later this week.
Since I knew this week was going to be so crazy I spent my weekend trying to get some things done around the house to help with my craziness. Besides having to work all weekend I did laundry, cleaned, yard work, winterized outside, went through all my coupons, and made dinner for 3 nights this week. More on that later too. Its off to training for me...

I love my master bedroom. It is large an spacious to my liking. That also means more of it to clean. I clean the bedroom quite often. I don't like going to bed looking at a mess or waking up and looking at one. Here are the cleaning jobs I did in my master bedroom.

The Most Wonderful Time of the Year ....

The holidays are right around the corner. I love the holiday music, decorations, smells, ... With this being my first year having my own house, I want to send out and hopefully receive christmas cards. I want to do a photo style christmas card. When I heard that Shutterfly was doing a promotion with bloggers I had to jump on the band wagon. Shutterfly is giving away 50 free holiday cards to bloggers. For more details check out Shutterfly.
I have never used shutterfly before but have heard nothing but good things about them. They have so many design options. They have Christmas, Religious, holiday story cards and so much more.

Mini Vacation

This past weekend I had a quick mini vacation. My husband, my father in law, a racing friend, and I all loaded up in my car and headed down to North Carolina. We left at 5 am and got there around 1pm. We hit every kind of weather possible. From sunshine to rain to snow to sleet. Oh what fun.

When we got there we went to Roush Yates Performance and stayed there for over an hour. (not my kind of fun). They did have a car sitting outfront though that caught my attention for a little bit.

Then we headed to the hotel to check in and off to Concord Motor Speedway to watch qualifying and heat races. If you have ever seen the tv show "Madhouse" on the history channel, you know who the Myers Brothers are. I ended up meeting both of them.

Friday night ended up getting rained out. Saturday we went sight seeing around town a little, otherwise known as getting lost. Dave said he knew where we were going not to bring out my gps. Once we got to the race track they had a "pit party" where you could see all the cars close up, meet the drivers and wonder around the pits. Dave and I also walked around the track. This track is kinda like a triangle. We are standing in corner 2.

It was a long cold day but the best racing I have seen in a while. Matt Kenseth's son raced in one of the divisions and came in second after running out of gas with a few laps to go. Two late models ended up on their roofs, and a e-mod decided to drive down the concrete wall and got wrapped up in the chain link fence. Unfortunately my camera died so I couldn't take any more photos.

We headed home on Sunday. Before leaving the Charlotte area I saw an Ikea. I begged for them to stop. I am in love with a store. We don't have one around here. I found so many things I like and want.

On the way home I also saw one of my dream cars. Not a bad picture for being taken on my phone. I would love a lambo.

Show Us Where You Live- Bathrooms

Monday night my sister and on went on our date to see Carrie Underwood in concert. It was a great concert and a lot of fun. We have good seats I could see, which is a huge plus. I loved her sparkly microphone, and shoes, and the truck.

Holiday Clean - Up Week 1- Kitchen

The kitchen in my house seems to need the most cleaning the most frequently. It seems to be the collect all, drop off, leave a mess room. It is the most traveled room in my house too. Is it the same way in your house too?

I may have a small kitchen but still it needs a lot of cleaning when I do my "major deep cleaning". Here is all the cleaning jobs I did in the kitchen, somewhat in the order I did it.
- empty and fill dishwasher

- take down curtains, wash, dry and hang back up

- wipe down mini blinds

- clean with windex inside and out of windows

- wipe down top of cupboards and fridge

- dry dust walls

- wipe down all decor

- wipe down light fixture

- empty, wipe down, put back and organize inside of cupboards and drawers
- wipe down outside of cupboards
- wipe down outside of dishwasher
- wipe down and organize inside of fridge and freezer
- clean fridge with stainless steel cleaner
- scrub microwave
- scrub stove
- scrub sink
- clean and disinfect counters
- wipe down baseboards
- wipe down base board heat
- wipe down outside of garbage
- sweep and mop floor

That seems like a lot but once I got started it didn't take to long at all. It feels refreshing now to also have a clean kitchen.

Cleaning Products and Tips used:

- "wipe down" I use a bucket of water with Spic and Span and an old rag

- to clean the windows I use the dollar store brand of windex. It works so well without any streaks.

- stainless steel cleaner, I love Weiman stainless steel cleaner and polish. after trying so many other things this is the best I found. It removes dirt, fingerprints and doesn't leave any streaks but leave a nice shine.

- "scrub" the sink and stove I use comet on a scrubby pad

- to scrub the inside of the microwave: place a small bowl of water and vinegar mixture in microwave, heat for 3 to 5 minutes. this will loosen anything stuck on the sides. remove bowl (warning water and bowl will be hot). with a sponge scrub inside of microwave.

- to disinfect I use Lysol all purpose cleaner and disinfectant

AHHH Novemeber

Its November already. I have so much I want to do in the next two months. Its one of those where do I even start. Here are recap of last month's To Do List. I went pretty short and simple:

- Decorate for Halloween click HERE to see my decorations

- Exercise atleast 4 day a week

- Try a new dessert- I make pumpkin cake with cream cheese frosting.

- Decide what doing with dining room- we got a dining room set and I love it. I had to rearrange but it works out great. Unfornately it has become a little catch-all but I do spent a lot of time using the sitting at the computer and looking out the window in the dining room now. Well worth the money. Also I haven't eatten in the basement at all since I got it.

This months to do list/goals:
Holiday Related:
- decide on whos getting and what doing for christmas cards
- make out and mail christmas cards
- decide on what doing for christmas presents

Craft Related:
- make a new pillow
- make place setting for the dining room table
- make coasters

Food Related:
- make dinner atleast 3 times a week (not leftovers or cheater food)
- make a new dessert
- Continue working on cookbook binder

Other Related:
- finish book I'm reading, start a new one
- start a new 30 day challenge
- do once a week date night with husband
- do once a month get together with girlfriends

Health Related:
- exercise atleast 2 times a week

Sisters Date

About once a week my sister and I get together and do something. Normally it is just hanging out and lunch and maybe shopping. Today we have another sister date. I am so excited we are going to see Carrie Underwood in concert. I have only ever seen Linkin Park, and Kid Rock as headliners. It has been a while that my sister has been to a concert too.

Show Us Where You Live- Guest BedRoom

Im back on the back on the band wagon with Kelly's Korner this week for Show us where you live guest bedroom edition.

Our Guest Bedroom is kind of a mess. It has also become a storage place. This guestroom will turn into a nursery when we have a child. Since we are trying to conceieve, I kind don't want to re-do the guest room and get pregnant and have to re-do it again into a nursery.

There is a box of clothes that need to be donated. A family friend gave us a stroller when they found out we were trying for a little one.

The computers are suppose to go up in our bedroom and see if they work.

Holiday Clean - Up

Christmas is just around the corner. It is less than 2 months away, about 8 weeks. It will be here in a blink of an eye. This year being the first year we have a house of our own, we are having Christmas Eve. Normally Christmas Eve isn't a big deal in my family, or on my husbands side. I have decided to change it up a bit, but more on that later.
With Christmas Eve being 58 days away I need to get my house into tip top shape. I have been slacking on the cleaning department. My goal is to do a major deep cleaning of one room/area a week. Then just have to do cosmetic cleaning on that room weekly to keep it up to par.
Each week on Wednesday I will post the "major deep cleaning" I did in that room/area in detail. I will also show what cleaning products I used, what I recommend and don't recommend, etc. I am also going to post what the "cosmetic cleaning" is that I will do weekly after doing the "major deep clean". I am starting next Wenesday November 3, starting with the Kitchen. Here is a list of what rooms/area I will be doing what week. If you would like to follow along and participate you may have to switch things up for rooms that are suitable in your house.

Red, Orange, Gold

For whatever reason this year I am really loving fall. I love the cooler weather, the smell, the colors, everything about it. I took a few minutes today and took some pictures around the yard.

I love these, whatever they are. They are green all year until now, they are this gorgeous red.

These are the two of the trees we have in the backyard. I am loving the orangey-gold and goldy reds. Are those even colors?

Pumpkin Bash

I got more in the Halloween spirit this weekend. I found out our trick or treating is on Sunday so I will be home for it. I am so exciting. This is the first year passing out candy at my own house. I hope I get atleast a few trick or treaters.
As part of getting in the spirit we carved some of our pumpkins. We did 3 out of 7. My in-laws and niece came over also and carved a pumpkin they brought with them.

Back At It

I am back at charting my cycles. I went and bought a new basal thermometer at Walmart Tuesday. Since it was the start of a new cycle I decided to get it the ball rolling again instead of waiting another month or so. I had a Target thermometer before. The big difference I have noticed it the Walmart basal thermometer takes
longer to take a reading than the Target one.

The Kitty Did It

I am blaming these two. They may look cute and cuddly and loving. But they have it out for me.

My basal thermometer is missing. It is no where to be found. I always leave it on my night stand but I haven't had it since Sunday morning. I have decided that my kitties don't want me to get pregnant. They are both such attention seekers they don't want to share my affection with anyone else. Sorry to burst their bubbles I am going to buy a new basal thermometer before work, so I can start temping again in the morning.

Sweetest Day Weekend

This past Saturday was Sweetest Day. Here in Ohio is a holiday much like Valentine's Day. It is always the third Saturday in October. My father proposed to my mom 31 years ago on Sweetest Day.
For Sweetest Day Dave and I went out to Applesbees. Our one friend works there so we go there quite often to see her. It was not as busy as I expected but the Ohio State Football game was on at that time too. Unfortunately Ohio State lost to Wisconsin. To my husband it really is the end of the world.
On Sunday Dave and I went and saw Jackass in 3d. It was my first time seeing a movie in 3d. It was kinda neat. The movie was great. I can't tell you when the last time I laughed that hard was.
After the movie we went driving and enjoying the changing of the leaves. We ended up at an outlet mall. The mall had two new tool outlet stores. My husband was in heaven. He got a hammer, and a tool carrier. I got a flashlight and toolbox. I couldn't pass up the deals. Dave also got shoes at a shoe store while we were at the outlet too. After leaving the outlet we just ended up running the streets some more.
It was such a nice and relexing wedding together. I did have to work some on Saturday but the day went by pretty quick. I can't wait until next weekend to spend more time with my hubby.

This week over at Kelly's Korner is Show Us Where You Live, Office Edition. My office is a complete and utter disaster right now. It really needs cleaned. Here are some older photos of my office. We no longer have a rabbit. But besides that the room is pretty much the same.

The plan is once we have kids. to either make this into a nursery, play room, or have bunch beds. Only time will tell what will happen.

flipped out today

I flipped out today. Normally I am very organized and remember where I put things. One of my girlfriend's was over. We were talking about vacations. She wanted to see photos from my last cruise. I have been a little behind on getting the photos developed and off my camera. I have all the photos on the same disk all the way back from August 2009. So I grabbed my laptop where I had last seen my memory card. It wasn't there. Then I looked in the camera. It wasn't there either. I started flipped out. I searched in the basement, had my husband flip the couches, in my bedroom, the kitchen, the office, and the dining room. I couldn't find it anywhere. Finally Dave came upstairs and found it in te crack of the chair I was sitting in earlier. I really have no idea how it got there.
On the agenda for tomorrow is copying all my photos to a free internet site (any suggestions) and to my external hard drive.

Better Late Than Never

Last Friday over at Kelly's Korner was Show Us Your Life- Kitchens. I have been so crazy busy with other things I didn't have time to post. Today is better than never.
Here's my kitchen. I have posted these same photos before. My kitchen is currently a mess. It is on my to do list for this weekend.
Our house has a pretty small kitchen. I don't love it. I wish I had a bigger kitchen. Dave and I have talked about expanding the back of house and making the kitchen larger, but that is only if we stay here forever. We talk of moving in a few years, only time will tell.

I am standing at the side door. This is where you would put a small dinette. We currently have a cedar/hope chest sitting here. It makes for a great seat while putting on your shoes.

This is our backdoor. Straight in the back door is the stairs to the basement.

We are not a huge fan of all the black and white checkers. But I see it as a checkered flag than with the stainless steel fridge reminds me of a garage in a sense. But I do love the ceiling of the gray mixture.

Busy past 5 days

The past 5 days have been crazy busy. I am ready for some time to relax and sleep. The weather around here has been amazing. Over the weekend it was in the upper 70s and gorgeous. Couldn't have been a better way to end the race season.
Friday I worked in the morning. I got off went shopping came home and started baking. I made brownies, chocolate chip cookies, and peanut butter cookies. I also cleaned the house and packed to spend the weekend at the race track. Dave, my father in law and I all left the house around 9pm to go to the race track and set up to make sure we had a spot. We sat around the fire and had a few beers and went to bed around midnight.
Saturday morning I had to work. Dave and I go up early went out to breakfast, I dropped him back off at the track. I got to work with 5 minutes to spare. We didn't plan the time out very well when the waitress took a 15 minute smoke break as we were waiting on our bill. I
I got off work and went to back to the race track. Things didn't go as well as expected for us. We got a flat and didn't have a spare so borrowed a team members, then they wouldn't let us back on the track. I ended up running the streets to get money and parts and beer. Came back very aggravated and didn't want to be very social. Bed came around 1 am.
Sunday morning we woke up around 9 and headed home to take a quick shower (and charge my cell phone). We ran make it in the feature race but got real loose so our driver pulled off. One of our team members ended up leading all 50 laps of the race and winning. It was a very exciting amazing race. It was a very long day. We didn't get home until after 10 pm. We grabbed the food and pillows and came inside and went to bed. We waited until Monday to unpack.
Monday I had to work 9 to 5. I came home and started to clean the master bathroom. Then Dave came home with dinner. We ate and his parents showed up to help us clean out the camper and the race truck. After that we had to take the camper back to my parents since we borrowed it from them. We came home watched house and I was asleep by 10.
I am happy the weekend is over. Race season is done for the year. We had a rough season with many things going wrong. Can't wait for next year of racing.

Wine Wednesday

Rearranged weekend

This weekend did not go as planned. Ms. Mother Nature decided to rearrange our plans. Fall weather is officially here. I would like to go back to the sunny warmer days please.
- Friday night I had to work, nothing to new there. Besides the dramatic drop in temperature. When I went to work it was pretty nice out, by the time I got out it was freezing cold and I didn't have a coat. I drove home with the gas light on because I didn't want to stop in the rain and cold and get gas, so I got it on Saturday morning. I know its not good for the truck, my husband tells me this all the time.
- Saturday I had to work til 2. We were suppose to race afterwards. Since it rained all day the race got cancelled. My in-laws and niece came over, brought dinner and hung out. They stayed til after 10. (a little longer than I would have liked) While they were over I cleaned my bedroom, hung up all my shirts that have been sitting in a clothes basket for about a month.
- Sunday I had to work too. I got home around 5:30 to find a lot more bees in the living room again. With David's help we were able to find where they were coming from. We went to Home Depot bought some bee killer came home and killed them all. So far this morning I haven't seen any yet.
After dinner Dave decided he wanted to rearrange the bedroom. I'm not a huge fan of it right now. I may get use to it. I said we would give it a try. My concern with the layout is the base board heat is at the head of the bed. I know we throw our pillows on the ground while we are sleeping I'm scared of a fire from this.

Show Us Where You Live- Dining Room

This week over at Kelly's Korner is dining room on Show Us Where You Live Friday. My dining room is still a work in progress.

We have been using a table my uncles gave us when I moved out of my parents house. The chairs are our outside patio furnature. I enjoy dinners at the table so we needed something. I grew up eating dinner at the table every day and want to keep the tradition going when I have a family of my own.

I also want to have Christmas Eve dinner at my house this year. So we need a larger dining room table. Last night Dave and I went furniture shopping.

Not the greatest picture. We get it in 3 weeks. I am so excited to have a real table. I will do another dining room post once it is put it and everything is organzied.

We got bees

I love the fall weather we are having. I am not loving what is coming along with it. Since it is getting cold outside all the bugs are trying to find a place to hide. I have had a fly in the truck for 3 days now, why hasn't it died yet.
While doing homework this morning I looked out the window and the basement and saw 3 bees flying around. I grab the fly swatter and a chair (so I can reach the window). I open the blinds and this is what I see.

Where the heck did they all come from. I killed atleast 10 before I left for work. When Dave got home from work he forgot he was suppose to look to see where they were coming from until it was dark out. So we will be doing that tomorrow.
Anyone else having bee problems?

30 Day Challenge- Eatting Out Recap

This challenge was a huge FAIL. We didn't even last a week. Dave and I ate out on Saturday, but then we ate out again on Sunday. It wasn't planned. When we came home from the pumpkin patch everyone else had McDonalds. My niece threw a fit and she wanted a happy meal. My husband caved and told me to go get her food. He also told me to get up something too since we would be there for a while and they had already eatten.
After I ate I felt sick from all the grease. Even though this Challenge is a fail. I am going to keep it up and not eat out as much as possible.

Fall Festivities

This weekend has been great and so much fun. I wish it never had to end. This is gonna be a long picture filled post, just thought I would for warn you.

Friday started bright and early for me. I got up did some last minute cleaning around the house. My friend Tracy and her mom arrived around 9:15 to get their hair done for the wedding. It took a little longer than expected, I forgot how thick Tracy's hair is.

I didn't get myself ready until after they left.

Here are pictures from the wedding. It was so much fun. They had a live jazz band playing the whole time. The ceremony was outside and the rain subsided right before it started.

Saturday I thought I had to work but it turned out I didn't. That meant I have a 3 day weekend. I could really get use to have off weekends. I would love a job that I didn't have to work weekends and could spend the time with my amazing husband and family.

After going to work and finding out I had off I came home and made pumpkin pancakes. Then my husband and I went to his parents house. We ended up running the streets with his dad. We left around 11, and didn't get home til like 4ish. We ended up eatting out at Chick Fil la. I know this totally goes again our 30 day challenge. So I changed the rules again. Since we were hungry and weren't going to be home for a while we had no real choice but to stop somewhere. So new rule is we can not eat out just because we are hungry and lazy and don't want to make anything.

When we were done running the streets we came home and took a nap. After waking up, one of my husbands friends stopped over for a little big. When they left we went and saw Easy A. It was a cute movie.

Sunday was a great day. I got up and made bacon and eggs for breakfast. Then I took a shower and started a grocery list. I also made pumpkin cake. At that time my husband was out cutting the grass. When the cake was done we ran to the grocery store, came home and unloaded, then went to my in-laws to pick up my niece for our pumpkin patch fun.

We went to Brassee's Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch. It was so much fun. They had 2 bouncy houses, a straw slide, corn pit, kids straw maze and kids corn maze, all for kids. Then they had a pitch black straw maze and 8 acre corn maze for adults (kids could also go through). They also had pumkins that were already picked for $4 and pick your own from the pumpkin patch for $1.50. We ended up doing the pick your own and getting 7 of them. This is going to be a new traidition to do each year of picking our own pumpkins.

Show Us Where You Live- Master Bedroom

Weekend Comes Early

My weekend officially starts tonight after work. I have somewhat busy exciting weekend to look forward to.

Friday- at 9am my girlfriend, Tracy and her mom are coming over to get their hair done. Tracy is getting married tomorrow. I am so excited for her wedding day. I will be sure to take photos.

After they leave I have to get myself ready. Dave is leaving work early to go to the wedding with me. The wedding is an hour away so we have to leave around 4.

Saturday- I have to work until 2. After work I have homework to do, I want to bake something pumpkin, maybe cookies, bars or bread. We aren't racing this weekend so that will be nice to relax at home. Dave has a side job to do though. Maybe we will go see a movie.

Sunday- I hopefully have off. The plan is to kidnapp my niece (with permission) and go to a local pumpkin patch with a corn maze.

Officially Fall

Today is the first official day of fall. It somewhat felt like it too. Here in Cleveland, Ohio it was a little cool this morning, then it warmed up into the 70's through out the day, now it is dropping back down to the 60's for tonight. Now then again tomorrows high is 89 not very fall like. Mother nature is a little confused on her temps again.
Since it is officially fall I got motivated to get all my fall decoration out. I don't have many. I only decorated the doors and the dining room. I want to get more still, and do a little outside.

30 Day Challenge- Eatting Out

David and I have started a 30 day Challenge for each other. We haven't decided what we get if we complete this challenge yet.
Our Challenge is to go 30 days Without Eatting Out. This means no fast food or sit down. Now this only counts if we are paying for it. If someone takes us out to dinner or brings something over then it doesn't count.
Eatting out is a big thing for us. When we are not in the mood to cook we just stop somewhere. It seems like every fast food restaurant is within 10 minutes from our house.
There are a few reasons I decided to do this challenge.
- I am getting tired of fast food. It should be a treat not a need.
- I am tired of throwing away food that goes bad because we don't eat it. The cupboards are full it is not like there is nothing to eat in the house.
- We are having some money issues, and don't need to be spending money we don't have on food we don't need.

We officially started the challenge yesterday, Monday Septemeber 20. The end date is Wednesday October 20.
The weekend of October 8-10, is excluded from the challenge because we are racing all weekend and will end up atleast going to breakfast on Sunday morning after spending the night at the race track. There is really no other option for food.

Weekend Recap

You don't hear this very often but I am happy it is Monday. Mainly because I have the day off, and I don't feel good. I plan on being lazy, staying in bed all day and taking naps. Maybe soup for lunch too. Doesn't that sound great. It won't happen though. I have dishes piling up, laundry needs done, etc.

I feel like all I did over the weekend was work. Which is what I did Friday night, Saturday morning, and all day Sunday. Saturday after work, I went out to dinner with some gf's for a bachelorette party. They were going out to a bar afterwards, I opted to not go to the bar and went to the race track. We finally got our car back out there. We did awesome in the heat race. We WON. Totally unexpected but great. During the feature though we had some problems and broke something in the rear end. It happens its part of racing but it sucks.

That was pretty much my weekend. How was your weekend?

Gosh I try not to remember nightmares.

Thigh high boots. I would love to try them, and not kill myself or the bank.

I made ok grades. I never failed anything but I wasn't a straight A student.

I pay for All You magazine. Then I get Parents and American Baby for free.

My living room is in the basement. There is a room upstairs, right in the front door that could be used as a living room, but we decided to use it as the dining room since there is no dining room and not enough space in the kitchen for an eat in kitchen.
If you come in the side door and walk down the stairs, the door to the right leads to the living room.

From standing in the doorway to the right. You see my collection of dvds on the bookshelf, and all our ps2 and ps3 games and the few wii games we have under the tv. You would think we play games a lot. My husband plays once a week, and I may play once a week. The couch is a sleeper sofa.

This is from the doorway looking straight ahead. This is where we spend most of our time. Sitting infront of the tv and playing on my laptop. Both chairs are recliners.

This is to the left. Out couch is suppose to be a wrap around but the house is not big enough for it. So we have the wedge facing the fireplace. I sit there quite often in the winter. You also see our collection of cd's. I can't get rid of them even though we barely ever use them. Also on the bookshelf is some of my frogs. The other dvd's stands have all disney/kid movies and series of tv shows.

Also to the left of the door. On top of the fireplace is photos of us. We have prom, wedding, vacation ... Hopefully one day their will be pictures of our future kids.

This is from standing behind the recliner couch looking at the door. I like having a door where I can close off the area, keep the heat in, not have to hear to washer or dryer.

VMA- recap from my point of view

The 2010 Mtv VMA's (video music awards) were on this past Sunday night. I watched it with my husband. Here is my opinion on the show:

- Chelsea Handler did a great job as the host. I would love to see her live.

- I am not a huge fan of Lady Gaga. I think she is so overrated. I do however like her music. But don't think she deserved all the awards she received and her meat dress, I won't even go there.

- I love love Eminem. His performance was great. I loved the surprise appearance of Rihanna.

- I don't understand Florence and the Machine. There performance was just weird.

- Linkin Park is amazing.

- I dislike Kanye West with a passion. I won't go into that either.

- I have to admit Justin Bieber's performance was the first time I ever heard/saw him.

- I wasn't to impressed with Taylor Swifts performance but love that she had a come back for Kanye from last years innocident.

Rainy Weekend

I had such a great weekend. Why did it have to end so soon.
Friday- I worked til 9. It ended up being a somewhat busy night so it went by quick. I came home watched some tv, took a shower and went to bed. Nothing to interesting.
Saturday- I worked from 9 to 2. Went home changed clothes and hopped in the race truck. On the way to the track it started to rain. When we got to the track it hadn't even rained there. Dave and I set up the car and got everything ready for the first set of hot laps. The car was running good for the most part. When in line for the second set of hot laps it started to rain. We don't race in the rain so they pulled everyone off the track. We covered the car and waited for it to pass. It stopped for a few minutes, then started back up again. It did this off and on until 7pm when they finally canceled the race and sent us all home. Dave and I came home changed out of our wet clothes and spend the night cuddling and watching tv.
Sunday- I slept in. It doesn't happen that often that I get a Sunday off where I can be lazy and sleep in and don't have any plans. I told Dave to not make any plans for that day either. I got up before Dave and did dishes, cleaning the kitchen, dining, did some bills, and started breakfast. Dave got woken up by the smoke alarm going off. I don't do very well making bacon. We had bacon and eggs for breakfast.
After breakfast I did some coupons and made the weekly menu and grocery list. Then got ready and went shopping. They opened a new Walmart in the area. We went and checked it out, we were there for almost 2 hrs. It had a different layout so I had to look for things not just go grab it and go.
After shopping we came home made dinner then watched the MTV VMA's.

Plans and Question

It has been a short fast week. I am ready for the weekend.

Tonight- I have to work. I can't complain that I have a job. I had off yesterday so it isn't to bad.
Saturday- I work til 2, then have to run to my parents to feed the cats. Oh the fun of house sitting. Then off to the race track. We are finally getting the car back out there after blowing the motor a few weeks ago. I am so excited and nervous at the same time. I am keeping my fingers cross that everything goes well.
Sunday- I have no idea whats going on yet. I don't know if I have to work or not, if my wonderful husband has anything planned. So it is a play it by ear for now. Oh I have to get some homework done sometime this weekend too.

1. Do you feel guilty spending money on yourself?
Yes. Especially right now when we are having some money issues. I have to stop buy things for myself that I don't need.

2. How well do you know your neighbors?
Not very well. We have talked to the one neighbors once when there was an accident at my house and they asked if everyone was ok a few days later, they also let me know that they cut my grass for me since they know there was a lot going on. The neighbors on the other side we say hi to all the time. My husband has talked to them more often than I do.

3. What age are you looking forward to being?
Ummm, I am not looking forward to any age. I had a quarter life crisis when I turned 25, in my eyes nothing looks up after this.
4. Do you get excited when the mail comes? Why?
I use to get so excited and what to be the one to get the mail. Now that all that comes in the mail is bills I am less than thrilled when it comes. I do get excited when I get a magazine in the mail, which is twice a month.

5. What is your earliest childhood memory?
The earlist thing I remember is when I was 2 and at Disney World. The rat from Robin Hood wanted a picture with me and I wanted nothing to do with him. There is a picture of this hanging in the hallway at my parents house, so do I really remember this or just the picture?

Weekend Recap

The weekends over again. Summer is officially over. I am loving this fall weather we are having. I can't wait to decorate. I need to go shopping for some decorating first.

Friday- Relaxing night at home. I did homework and some cleaning and dishes... Nothing fun.

Saturday- I worked til 2, came home did a math test, and then we went to the race track. Our car is still being fixed so we just went to watch. I had a blast. Our team mate won the feature and blew his motor in the last lap. My husband ended up helping them do a motor swap til 4 am so they could race again on Sunday. He also won on Sunday.
Another friend was also racing on Saturday. He was up visiting his family from Alabama and this was his first time ever racing. He did very well, we are all so proud of him. I ment to take pictures, but I had a big airheaded moment. I took my camera but forgot the memory card at home.

Sunday- I worked til 5. Then came home and had another relaxing night.

Monday- Labor Day- My sister, David and I went to Cedar Point. This was the second time this year for David and I. Before that it had been 7 years. We had a blast. I dragged my sister to ride the Top Thrill Dragster. I was so excited. I only got nervous when we were seating in the staging lanes.
The park was to crowded for being a holiday. But the day started off a little chili and there was a chance of thunder storms. It didn't rain or anything though. It was just perfect fall weather. Shorts and a sweatshirt did well.
We ended up leaving pretty early, like 5ish. I rode an older wooden roller coaster and ended up in a lot of pain. I went prepared with pain pills just incase something did happen. We wondered around the park for a while and my sister and husband rode some rides, while I just relaxed and waited. I am finishing my night in bed with more pain pills, blogging and watching Season 1 of Gossip Girl

Labor Day Weekend

This weekend really declares the end of summer. Today's high was only in the 70's, tomorrow is suppose to only be in the 60's. Time to drag back out the jeans and sweatshirts. Its gonna be a cold night. I have enjoyed turning the air off and opening the windows though. I am ready for fall.
This weekend is gonna be a fun one. Saturday after work we are going to go watch the races, out motor is still being fixed. After the race we are going to a friends bon-fire. Sunday I have to work so my hubby gets to sleep in and relax all day, so jealous. Monday we are going to Cedar Point again. I got free tickets, you can't pass that up.

1. What do you do when you have time to yourself?

My "Me" time I watch tv or play online. Since it is getting into fall and that horrible dreaded winter I enjoy taking baths and reading a book. In the summer I like it sit out on the front porch and watch the cars go by. I don't normally treat myself to mani or pedis, but oh would love to.
2. When you look out your kitchen window, what do you see?
My backyard, our vehicles, the garage, a field .... nothing to interesting. At times I do see deer, birds, squirels, and groundhogs.
3. Who/What would you want to be reincarnated as?
A domestic house cat. I would love to be lazy all day.

4. What is your biggest pet peeve about other people's kids?
Manners. I hate when kids don't say please and thank you, ask before taking something, don't clean up after themselfs. At work we have a bowl of suckers. Some parents let their kids eat as many as they want while they wait. What happened to all you get is one and ask first.
5. Regular or Diet soda?
I don't normally drink soda/pop. Normally when I do it is because I am sharing with my husband. He will not drink diet, so it is regular with him. When I do get my own soda/pop I get diet. I usually choose tea, lemonade, fruit punch, water, etc over any soda/pop though.

New Obsession

My sister got me addicted to a tv show. I could kill her for this. Well not literally. Just what I needed was a new tv show to work into my schedule. True Blood

It is on HBO and we don't get it right now. So thats a good thing but now it makes me want to change to satellite package so I can watch it. The other good thing is season 3 is almost over, I think there is only 1 or 2 new episodes left.
My sister had season 1 and season 2, so I stole them, with the intention of returning eventually. I started watching it and go suckered into it. I sat there the other day and watch 4 episodes in a row I just had to know what happened next. Now I can't wait for season 3 to come out on dvd so I can catch up with everything I missed.
Normally I am not much into Vampire shows, movie, books etc. Really I can't say that I like Vampire Diaries and Twilight. Lets just say I don't like to much dieing and blood sucking vampires.
Does anyone else watch True Blood?
