Crazy Weekend

This weekend has been crazy and long, with sadness and happiness and fun. I am glad it is over. I had to work today but have off the net two days. I plan on getting stuff done around the house.
Friday-
I took my sister and one of her co-workers to the funeral for the local police officer who was killed in the line of duty. It was incredible to see so many people there to say their final words, show their support and sorrow for the family and other officers. Calling hours were from 2 to 9. We got there at 1:45. We parked at a nearby church then took the sheriff van shuttle to the funeral home. The line was already wrapped around to the side of the building. After waiting in line for two hours we got up to the guest sign in book. At that time they made an announcement that they were giving the family a 15 minutes much deserved break. Unfornuately for us we couldn't stay. I had to be to work at 5, which means leaving my house at 4:30ish and I still have to take my sisters co-worker home, go home and change. We ended up leaving.
I live on a main road that was part of the route that the funeral procession would be traveling. When I got off work at 9pm on Friday night the streets were lined flags and candles. It was so heart touching, sad, and emotional all at the same time. People were lining the streets to partipate in the candle lightening ceremony. The photos below is kind hard to make out but it is some flags and candles.

Saturday-
I had to work from 9  to 5. One the way to church I pass the college where the funeral was going to take place. There was over 6000 police officers from all over the county. including Canada, California and Arizonia. (some where in from another funeral for a different police officer a few days before). Here is a photo of all police cars at the college

After work I went to a surprise birthday party for one of my girlfriends/co-worker. It was fun, she was surprised. It was a long night. I have a little to much to drink, but my loving sister drove me home. My new favorite thing is pudding shots, chocolate pudding with baileys and vodka, put in the freezer made it come out like ice cream.
Sunday- Even though I was not feeling well I had to work. After work I came home and took a 2 and a half hour nap. That was pretty much my whole weekend.
