Bedroom Clean-up

I have mentioned before that my husband and I are in the process of buying a house. We are still waiting on closing. We were suppose to close on October 2nd, but that didn't happen. We are having some issues with our morgage guy who doesn't like to give us messages, return phone calls, and seems to work at a speed slower than a snail. We found a house we love that ended up being for sale by owner. It makes me wonder if we would have decided on a house where we were working with a realitor if we would still have all these problems. Then the frustration that a friend of ours is looking at a house that just got on the market that has more land, a cheaper price, and everything we want in a house. Unfortunatly with the changes in FHA loans and credit scores if we don't get this house we would have to wait until our credit scores got higher to meet the new requirements.

Anyways, as soon as we put a bid on the house and it was accepted we decided to move out of the duplex we were renting and in with my parents for the time being to save money. All of our belongings that we don't use regularly is stored in the garage at the house we are buying. My parents offered for us to move back into my old bedroom, but they weren't going to take out everything they have moved in their when I left. It is not such a big deal, I only get half my closet, and they put book shelves where my sister is housing some of her books. This doesn't leave me with much storage or room for my stuff. I have tried to use the space I have available as best as I can. I did move and stack my sisters books a little differently so I could have more space.

Over the weekend I straightened out and organzied my room a little better to use the space I have available. Here is some pictures of the small space and a lot of stuff I have.

Weekend Recap

I had a nice, somewhat relaxing weekend.
Friday night we had to finish getting the last couple things out of the duplex. We had the blow, jet ski's, and fish tank left. All that didn't take to long. We also had to yank a motor and trans out of a car we decided to get rid of. Luckily we had a nice neighbor who had a lift and everything we need in his garage that he let us borrow.
Saturday I had to work from 10- 6. That means I got to the race track late. Saturday was the last points night, next weekend is a full weekend of racing then we are done for the year. Here is a picture of our car.

Sunday I also had to work. After work my husband and I went to Olive Garden for their all you can eat pasta bowl. It was pretty good besides that mess I made on my shirt. I swear you can't take me anywhere without my feeding my boobs.

Finally moved

We moved out of the duplex this weekend. 99% of our stuff is in the garages at the house we are buying. The rest of the stuff is moved into my parents house. I am all set up and organized at my parents house. We do have a couple of things to get from the duplex and I have to clean it. We don't official have to be out and give back the keys until this weekend. No biggie.

I hate moving. I didn't realize how much shit I have and how much work it actually takes. I hope to never move again.

plans for when we get the house

I have been thinking of what things I want to do differently, keep up with, change, etc. when we move into our new home and get situated. I dont want to say it is going to all happen right away... we will have to wait and see.
I will update this often, whenever I come up with another idea
1- Stick to a weekly dinner menu
2- Keep up with the Happy House challenge.
---------- Make the bed
---------- Empty the sink every night
---------- Clean the clutter
---------- Sweep the kitchen floor
---------- Sort the mail
---------- Spray the shower
---------- Write it down
3- Putting clothes in the dirty clothes basket
4- Putting clothes away after done washing
5- Do dishes nightly, i know this is in the happy house challenge, but I really am bad about this.
6- No shoes in the house
7- Clean out fridge once a week.

Packing

I have been packing up my place for the past 2 weeks or so. I never realized how much stuff I have. I have thrown out quite a bit that I don't use and/or don't want. I have stuff that I may get rid of after I move in and decide if I have a place/room for it. Plus I have stuff that I want to see at a garage sale next year. So much crap to move. I can't wait to be out of this duplex and into our own house. December can't come soon enough.

Things I am not going to miss about the duplex:
1- the bugs, they aren't here all the time but I hate them.
2- the landlords sister who lives next door and complains about everything.
3- the small bathroom, there is barely enough room for one
4- green tub, sink, and kitchen sink. eww
5- the leaky roof, landlord can't figure out why it is leaking
6- being about to park where I want, parking is on the other side of the house and you can't park in the driveway.
7- loud lady upstairs, you hear everything she does, and where she walks.
I could keep going but I will stop.

We signed papers

Last Friday, Dave and I signed papers for a house. Our closing date is October 2nd, but we won't be moving in til the last week in November or first week in December. The sellers of the house is having another house built and it won't be finished until then. We are being nice and letting them live there until their new house is finished. In about a month we are moving out of the duplex and into my parents for the time being to save money. All of our stuff besides what we need for two months will be in the garage of the new house we are buying so atleast we won't have to move all our stuff twice or get a storage unit. Now it is just the fun of packing.

Here is a picture of the front of the house. It is 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, full finished basement.
